One of my favorite hobbies is cooking. I love to putter in the kitchen and experiment with new recipes. On a trip to San Francisco I discovered Modern Art Desserts by Caitlin Freeman, a cookbook that combined two of my passions — art and baking. Inspired by a recent exhibition of her work, I began with a recipe for a Wayne Thiebaud Cake. This cake was the first of many experiments trying to bake great works of art. What should I bake next?
