While it may have appeared as just another football game, Saturday night’s game between the University of Miami and the University of Nebraska was a little different. The Nebraska players wore hand painted cleats depicting 17 letter “N”s representing the number of Orange Bowl appearances made by the school. More impressive, however, were the shoes worn by the Miami Hurricanes. Each player wore a custom painted pair of cleats inspired by their answers to questions posed by the artist who spent 400 or more hours painting the shoes. Check out the link at the top of the post to see images of his custom footwear. In my book the artist scored the winning touchdown.
