Why do we like fireworks? They are loud, smokey and pollute our air. But somehow we always use them to commemorate national holidays. They are used for the 4th of July in the United States, Guy Fawkes Day in London and New Years Eve across the world. Shows only last for a short period of time, but within that small timeframe, the sky turns a multitude of color. Pink, blue, green, yellow. The sky becomes a canvas. But at what price? Is it worth spending thousands of dollars to enjoy a few minutes of art art in the sky? After all, fireworks are a temporary art form.
