Everyone loves a good comic strip. The witty nature of a comic strip coupled with the colorful illustrations provides for a lighthearted and entertaining read. What better comic strip than the internationally renowned Belgium reporter Tintin with his lovable sidekick dog Snowy. Created in 1929 by Hergé, Tintin was designed for a newspaper comic column in Belgium. However, as he gained in popularity, he began starring in books and eventually had his own Hollywood debut. There is currently a exhibition in Somerset House, London titled TINTIN: Hergé’s Masterpiece, tracing the history of Tintin which showcases Hergés sketches, models and prints of this famed character.
