Smile! Say cheese! Hold on while I take a photo! Is the snapshot to remember an event? A performance? What was its function? At Tate Modern’s exhibition Performing for the Camera (On view until June 12) you can see photographs from artists such as Cindy Sherman, Yves Klein, Yayoi Kusama, Marchel Duchamp and Ai Weiwei. Visitors are encouraged to explore and question the role of a camera in art. You can even “Perform for the Camera” by taking a selfie with the cutout board located at the entrance.
