Penny Press

Untitled // Navid Nuur // 1976 – 2013 // Penny press machine, 1 pound coin, 1 pence coin, pressed coin, artist fingerprint

Have you ever made a pressed penny at an historic site? You know where you put in a penny,  pick your design, crank the wheel and the result is a a flattened penny with an image of a famous location or building. Well this penny press is a bit different. Designed by artist David Nuur, instead of receiving a penny with a place you visit, you are given a penny with Nuur’s finger print. You can have a copper signature of the artist on a penny. Pretty cool right?
