Brilliant, bold yellow and red colors mark the recent exhibition at the Ben Maltz Gallery at Otis College of Art and Design. Titled “Face (Geometry) (Naked) Eyes, the works in this show were created by NYC artist Polly Apfelbaum. Four large rugs laid on the floor, with hand-crafted red beads hanging in the middle. The walls were lined with colorful ceramic pieces whilst the back wall showcased thick wooden masks. The exhibition invited visitors to explore their own spirituality and the bright colors were inspired by dazzling colors the artist found in Oaxaca, Mexico.
