Russian artist Adian Salakhova challenges the notion of the veiled figure in her exhibition Revelations at Saatchi Gallery. Primarily using black and white, she creates sculptures and drawings of veiled women, drawings of veils, and a video of veiled women performing acts of a dominatrix. This process of the veil being used to cover and uncover, both as a religious act and an act of societal rules, becomes the central theme in these works of art.
