FullSizeRender 3.jpgThe Asheville Regional Airport created a mini gallery to showcase one artist who practices in Asheville’s River Arts District [RAD]. Right now the airport gallery is exhibiting the art of Jonas Gerard. Born in Morocco, Gerard lived in New York City and now currently resides in Asheville, North Carolina. Despite living in North Carolina, Gerard remains influenced by New York and Morocco. While painting, Gerard listens to Moroccan tribal music, Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz, allowing the melodies to inspire him.

Currently on view in Departures at LAX Terminal 7  is a collection of work by Timothy Nolan. Inspired by the Pop Art Movement, Nolan’s pieces provide a burst of bold colors and patterns. By combining scientific documents from the past with his photographs, Nolan’s style alludes to the constantly changing natural world.

Calling all flights from John F. Kennedy Airport to….Before racing to catch your flight be sure not to miss the works of art on view in the American Airlines Terminal 8 at JFK Airport. Romero Britto has created The Big Apple in bright bold colors while Charles Fazzino has designed a 3D hand painted model of an American Airlines plane jetting off.
