Rain in LA?!

FullSizeRendesr 22It’s raining in Los Angeles!  You can expect a constant downpour of rain at LACMA. Currently on view is Random International’s Rain Room. Visitors are invited to step into a black room with a single light source where rain falls from the ceiling. As you slowly walk through the space, ceiling mounted sensors stops the rain directly above you. You are surrounded by the sound and sight of falling water. Don’t worry, no umbrellas necessary.

I never expected to experience an LED light show as I walked down the stairs at the V&A Museum. As you move, the blueish purplish lights illuminate and move with you. The light installation over the stairway is triggered by movement. If you pick up speed, the lights flash more quickly. What a way to brighten your museum experience than to be a part of a museum installation
